No, the vocal fans, and the fans who ask the same question over again and again here aren’t necessarily representative of all fans. Most of our readers are vibrant, interesting, sane people. Only a few become obsessive about some particular thing—and even then, not all of them are assholeish about it.
And you should like what you like, for whatever reason you like it.
