Anonymous asked: No plans for an X-Men panel at SDCC until fans called you out on it, then it's "Oh, but Bendis showed up unexpectedly so he'll talk at this other panel!" Practically no promotion at all for the Storm ongoing, when it would've made way more sense to have Whoopi Goldberg announce that than FemThor. No X-Men toys or cartoon in a good while now. And no FF or X-Men promotion at the licensing expo Bleeding Cool posted about recently. Yeah, you guys aren't trying to bury the X-Men/FF at all.

Speaking about this is like talking about the JFK assassination or the Roswell UFO conspiracy. No matter what I say and no mater what evidence there is to the contrary, people are going to believe whatever ridiculous nonsensical thing that they want to believe, for whatever reason.

So from now on, my response will be simply “Grassy Knoll! Grassy Knoll!”

One other minor point here, though: the idea that The View would be a place to announce the STORM series is ludicrous. That’s not a story that anybody over there would have the slightest interest in—it is not news. “Comic book company makes comic book!” But Thor being replaced by a woman is news, and that’s why The View was interested, and that’s why that announcement was able to break there. We don’t use mind-control helmets to make outfits like that do whatever we want them to do, you know.

It sounds like he was saying Whoopi should’ve announced it because she’s black and Storm is black, which is stupid
